AboitizLand to Expand Lima Park by 300 Hectares.

MALVAR, Batangas. — AboitizLand eyes the expansion by another 200 to 300 hectares of the Lima Technology Park to accommodate more locators in the industrial estate here.

 

David Rafael, AboitizLand President & CEO,  the company is in talks with property owners adjacent to the area for the acquisition of the additional land.

 

Negotiations are hoped to be concluded within the year.

 

Rafael said the industrial business lots have been fully occupied with 40 hectares sold a year.

 

Lima Industrial Park is the number one selling and largest industrial property in the region. The area is registered with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority.

 

Rafael said the additional area will accommodate demand for spaces for small and medium light industries such as micro electronics and food processing

 

Rafael de Mesa, first vice president of AboitizLand said  Lima Technology Park now has 111 locators that employ 55,000 workers. The number of workers would double to 100,000 in 10 years as businesses expand and locators increase.

 

De Mesa said AboitizLand has doubled the area to 600 hectares since taking over the property in 2014.
